What is a New Broom? A New Broom is a person who is stepping into their spiritual practice. Sometimes they are brand new, starting from the ground up. Sometimes they are practitioners who started a while ago, set it aside, and are looking for more education in the craft.

You may have heard people use the term “baby witch” to describe new practitioners. I find this insulting and don’t use this term. Every practitioner who has ever existed started at the beginning. It is disrespectful to our community to infantilize them in such a way, it also disregards that person’s lived experience which is crucial to the craft. Every practitioner deserves respect, regardless of where they are at in their development.

Now that we’ve got that established, let’s talk about learning to be a Witch or Spiritual Practitioner in the digital age. It’s overwhelming – to say the least. We have an infinite amount of information available online, but that doesn’t mean accurate information. We have people arguing over what is considered a closed practice, which ingredients do what, and a plethora of people representing themselves as seasoned practitioners when they are not. Witchcraft has never seen this. Traditionally, this knowledge was passed from one practitioner to the next personally.

The New Brooms Course was designed specifically for this purpose. To provide all of the accurate fundamental information that you will need to build a strong foundation for your practice. Admittedly, this is my favorite class to teach. I love helping people at the beginning of their journey because I vividly remember what that was like. Which is exactly why I teach the craft the way that I do: from the perspective that the mundane and the magical are not separate, nor are the spiritual and the scientific.

Class is held weekly over the course of three months for a total of twelve classes. It is designed to go at a digestible pace which allows you to retain and practically apply what you learn. We cover everything from simply understanding what energy is to cleansing, banishing, protection, spellwork, ancestors, deities, all the way up to divination and channeling. Slow paced, comprehensive, and accurate.

One last note, before you choose to learn from anyone, you should always vet them. You should absolutely do the same with me. Feel free to read my bio linked below, check out my social media pages, go through my content, and feel free to email me with any questions. Not every student and every teacher are a good match, so do your due diligence to see if you feel like my personality and teaching style are a good match for you.

If you are interested in taking your next steps with a teacher who has lived through where you are, I would be honored to have the privilege of seeing you in class.
